Washington, Aug 19 (ANI): Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Cher, Liv Tyler, Melanie Griffith, Anne Hathaway and Scott Speedman have been named as victims of a serious credit card scheme.
The U.S. Secret Service have caught a woman who is accused of running the operation involving names of major Hollywood mega-stars, TMZ.com reported.
According to an affidavit filed in United States District Court, a witness claims the celebs were all violated or at least their credit cards were by a woman who ran a salon in Beverly Hills called the Chez Gabriela Studio.
Court documents accuse Maria Gabriella Perez of ripping off the credit card information from her ultra-wealthy clients and “fraudulently [charging] approximately 280,000 dollars worth of charges in a one year period”.
The documents showed that Perez swindled 214,000 dollars from Liv Tyler alone.
She was arrested on federal fraud charges, and is due to appear in court in L.A. (ANI)
London, Aug 13 (ANI): American singer Taylor Swift has landed a bizarre accolade – she has been inducted into a bowling Hall of Fame.
The 20-year-old singer was chosen over nine other stars including Justin Bieber and funnyman Bill Murray to enter into the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.
The Crazier hitmaker has been photographed bowling with her celebrity friends, including Glee actor Cory Monteith.
A photo of Swift and a plaque made in her honour will be displayed at the museum in Texas later in 2010, reports The Daily Star.
More than 1.3 million votes were cast for the inclusion process, according to the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America. (ANI)
London, July 21 (IANS) Country singer Taylor Swift likes to keep herself from falling in love.
The singer says that “Mine”, the first song from her upcoming album Speak Now, was written to confront her problem with “running away”, reports digitalspy.co.uk.
“It’s been sort of a recent tendency, and I think it’s because, for me, every really direct example of love that I’ve had in front of me has ended in goodbye and ended in breakups and things like that,” said Swift.
“So I think I’ve developed this pattern of running away when it comes time to fall in love and stay in a relationship. The song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who would make you believe in love and realise that it could work out, because I’m never ever going to go past hoping that love works out,” she added.
Her new album will hit stores Oct 25.

Grammy winner Swift was honoured with the Hal David Straight Award. It is an honour given to promising young songwriters.
Swift got the award for her hit tunes like Love Story and You Belong with Me.
And Swift was highly praised by Mayer as he introduced her to the stage to honour her with the award at a celebratory dinner in New York, reports The Daily Star.
